Barefeet Podiatry, Inc. is a leading provider of home‑based mobile podiatry care. We deliver compassionate, high‑quality treatment in the safety and comfort of our patients’ homes. Our licensed podiatrists perform thorough foot examinations and develop personalized treatment plans designed to restore healthy feet and prevent future podiatric complications.
We offer comprehensive conservative and surgical management for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including:
- Treatment of foot pain, heel pain, ankle sprains, sports injuries, and fractures
- Diabetic foot care, with a focus on preventing complications and reducing amputation risk
- Geriatric foot care, including toenail and callus deb

We accept traditional Medicare and most PPO insurance plans. HMO insurance is also accepted; however, an authorization from your primary care physician is required.

Our standard new‑patient consultation fee is $200, which includes a general evaluation and, when appropriate for our geriatric patients, debridement of toenails and calluses. Additional services, if required, may incur an extra fee.

Our doctors are highly trained in all aspects of foot and ankle disorders and are affiliated with Paradise Valley Hospital in National City.
Dr. Atmar is the Founder and President of Barefeet Podiatry, Inc. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2011 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency at New York Methodist Hospital and received additional surgical training at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York before establishing his practice.
In his spare time, Dr. Atmar enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is also passionate about animal advocacy and supports several local organizations.
Dr. Johnson joined our team in 2020. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2013 at Barry University in Miami. He completed his surgical residency at Westchester General Hospital in South Miami, where he gained extensive experience in foot and ankle surgery.
He also served as the manager of the Wound Care Center at Northshor
Dr. Johnson joined our team in 2020. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2013 at Barry University in Miami. He completed his surgical residency at Westchester General Hospital in South Miami, where he gained extensive experience in foot and ankle surgery.
He also served as the manager of the Wound Care Center at Northshore Hospital, utilizing advanced wound‑care modalities to promote rapid and effective healing for patients with complex wounds.
Dr. Johnson’s clinical expertise includes the treatment of a wide range of foot and ankle deformities and disorders.
In his spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys surfing and boating. He also loves spending time with his family and his 30‑pound terrier.

Dr. Deshwal is a compassionate foot and ankle specialist dedicated to patient‑centered care. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2023 from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at Ascension Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago.
Her training includes diabetic limb preservation, wound care, sports injuries, trauma, and reconstructive surgery, enabling her to care for both routine and complex conditions.
Dr. Deshwal believes exceptional care begins with listening. She takes time to understand each patient’s goals and lifestyle, ensuring every treatment plan is personalized and aligned with what matters most.
Outside of work, she enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors—reflecting her belief that movement, mobility, and a healthy lifestyle are essential to overall well‑being.
